Privacy Policy

SweetProof is built so that your information stays on your phone. This policy describes exactly what the app stores, what it does not, and the one place where a third party is involved.
The short version
- There is no account, no sign-up and no server operated by us.
- Everything you enter is stored only in the app's private storage on your device.
- We collect nothing. No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier, no location, no contacts, no camera or microphone access.
- Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of it.
What the app stores on your device
| Data | Why it exists |
|---|---|
| A first name, if you choose to enter one | So the coach and your reminders can address you. Optional — you can skip it. |
| Your reasons for cutting sugar | Replayed back to you during a craving and in the evening reminder. |
| Daily check-ins (clean or slipped), and the time of day a slip was logged | To calculate your streak and work out the hour you are most at risk, so the reminder can move earlier. |
| Craving level, if you record one | Shown back to you on the Progress screen. |
| Weight readings and a goal weight, if you enter them | To show change over time. Entirely optional. |
| Challenge length, buddy choice, outfit, badges, reminder settings | App preferences and progress. |
All of the above lives in the app's own private storage, which other apps on your phone cannot read. None of it is transmitted to us.
What we do not collect
We do not operate a server and have no way to receive your data. The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no advertising SDK. It does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, health records or device identifiers.
Network access
The app declares the internet permission, and we want to be precise about why: it is required by Google Play Billing, which handles the optional ad‑removal purchase. SweetProof itself makes no network requests — it sends nothing anywhere and works completely offline.
Purchases
The one-time purchase that removes ads is processed entirely by Google Play. We never see or receive your payment details. Google confirms to the app only whether the purchase exists. Google's handling of that transaction is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Advertising
If advertising is shown in a future version, it will appear only on the Home and Progress screens — never during the craving-support flow or while logging a slip. Any advertising provider used will be named in this policy before it ships, along with the data it processes.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally by your device. Nothing is sent through a push server, and their content never leaves your phone. You can turn them off at any time in Settings, or in Android's own notification settings.
Sharing a badge
When you tap a badge to share it, the image is drawn on your device and handed to Android's share sheet. You choose where it goes. We do not upload it and never receive a copy.
Children
SweetProof is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since the app collects nothing at all, no such information can reach us.
Deleting your data
Two options, both immediate and permanent:
- Settings → Reset all progress erases your streaks, logs, weights and badges while keeping the app installed.
- Uninstalling the app removes everything.
There is no copy held anywhere else, so there is nothing to request from us and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
Health information
SweetProof is a habit tracker, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice. If you are managing diabetes or another condition, talk to a clinician before changing your diet.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes — particularly any that introduce data collection — will be announced in the app before they take effect.
